My mother in law was well into this cross stich thing and created some
nice pieces when our children were born.Where do you find the time and patience,
very theraputic though i suppose.

Happy Birthday to me.....;-)

Oh happy days...!  I have a very happy dance today...the peacock is done...my first for 2009. Here it is....

in all its glory... now to find fabric to finish it with Open-mouthed

And under here  we have Vikki stash, you should have seen me when I pened the door this evening to find it on my doorstep!!!
What a birthday surprise Tongue out

Today I am a happy bunny and all is right with my world, tomorrow I go to bake muffins for coffee morning in church...
and my nephew gets baptised in the afternoon, so lots to do and not much time for any stitching...I am so itching to get
my hands round those Be outtakes...LOL Will try not to leave it so long before the next pics!

Oh so TIRED.....

I had forgotten how tired I get after working a 12.5hr shift plus the 1.25hr travelling time each way...I almost long for the days of idleness and 8hrs of stitching on a regular basis Wink
However I am enjoying it and although I am getting to serious withdrawal from stitching lots I do have a couple pics that I have worked on Open-mouthed. First is the Peacock which as the smallest piece and with the fewest colours has become my travelling piece...it has grown in leaps and bounds...see for yourself!

And the few minutes I get at home for stitching have gone to GR which you can see below!

As for my April goals, I am not even going to bother listing them here as you can see how pitifully I performed. I know already that May will be no better so instead of listing any goals I am just going to say that I WILL stitch on whichever current sloooooow wip I fancy whenever the opportunity arises as restricting myself to one or two will only make me not feel like stitching when the time comes Open-mouthed. It looks however like I will likely finish the peacock fairly soon at the rate I manage to get some done when travelling or doing night duty! Will have to drag out some other small variegateds to line up for travelling Wink I'm pretty sure there is already one started that is floating around here somewhere Surprised

Not a whole lot of stitching goin on!!

Well I hope you all had a fantastic Easter, mine wasnt too bad I must admit altho I did work some of it. My body aches in all sorts of places that i had forgotten I had muscles...Surprised That's what comes of being out of work for four and a half years and sitting on your butt getting lazier and lazier...not to mention the depression that went with it. Well now I am back to working with a vengeance...there's not much time left over for stitching...or energy come to think of it! but I have managed to do a little on the Peacock, my pic is a bit anaemic lookingDisappointed hopefully will get a better one next time!

And this is my progress on Citrine ater the April SAL on the HAED forum. I cant wait for the butterfly to come to life but I am stitching bakground right now as I cant really deal with too much counting, or the confetti stitching involved in itOpen-mouthed

What goals exactly...?!

Its that time of the month again and I am woefully lacking in the number of goals completed Embarrassed even tho I do have the excuses of my mom not being well and looking for a new job all at the same time! Well here goes nothing...
1 Start Growth Rings   -   STARTED
2 Do pgs 2-4 on Christmas Quaker     - DIDNT TOUCH :-(
3 Finish pg 1, do pg2 on QV    - 1.5pgs DONE
4 Do 2 motifs on Mystery Quaker    - DONE
5 Do 0.5 of pg2 of Citrine when released     -  STARTED ON 31ST
6 Finish pg1 of mystery new start     -   ONLY HALF PG DONE
7 Do 2hrs on a UFO - probably Peter    -   DONE
Stitched on Peacock as travelling piece!
Well, as you can see...I started but didnt complete some, didnt even get around to others...and actually stitched on something not on the list!!! So on to new goals, which will have to be few this month if I am going to have any chance of dealing with them Surprised
1 Finish pg2 on Citrine
2 Stitch SMS pt7
3 Finish pg1 of new start (so i can post a pic!)
and last but not least
4 Keep Peacock as travelling piece

I have a new pic of the Peacock Open-mouthed

And this is as far as I got with QV Open-mouthed

And we have Citrine too

The Waiting Game...

That is what I am doing right now. Waiting for the CRB to come through from GOS...references for GOS and Pulse and occupational health clearance on immunity to measles, chickenpox, rubella etc. Meanwhile I have been thinking I need to get a new uniform for Pulse...and lo and behold what do I find in my cupboard under some scrubs.... my old uniform top and it still actually fits...well just about Eye-rolling. Thats something I can work on losing in the near future then!!! Wink I have done a little stitching, nowhere near enough to suit me but I am too tired to even think about it most nights...let alone pick up a needle! Without further ado I give you some pics. The quality isnt great, for some reason no matter the light I cant seem to get nice pics at the moment Sad
This Windows Live is REALLY p*"*^ng me off, I can add pics to the albums but when it comes to adding pics to my blog it goes off.....if you want to see pics peeps, have a look at the blog album Angry
Catch you later!
